Leaving for abroad

Anyone leaving the country permanently must declare their departure from the country to the population office of the municipal administration of their last place of residence in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg the day before their departure.

The person making the declaration must go to the commune of departure with an identity document and, if applicable, their registration certificate, residence card or residence permit, and indicate the new address at which they intend to settle.
