Communal Merit · Call for Applications

The College of Mayor and Aldermen and the Sports Commission are pleased to announce that the first edition of the Communal Merit Ceremony will take place in January during the New Year’s reception. This distinction aims to honor residents of the municipality as well as local associations who have distinguished themselves in an outstanding way in the following fields:

• Sport: Recognized achievements at the national or international level, as well as exceptional contributions outside of competitions (commitment, fair play, inclusion, etc.)
• Culture: Significant activities or extraordinary projects contributing to the cultural life of the municipality
• Volunteering: Long-term (at least 10 years) commitment in local community life, social, intercultural, humanitarian, scientific, or community-building activities

Applications may be submitted by association leaders, citizens, the relevant commissions, or by the candidates themselves. To propose a candidate, please send an email until the 8th of December to secretariat@kopstal.lu including some details (motivation).
